He Who Has No Front Teeth

Collected by Bernard Saladin D'Anglure from the Kangirsujuaq Inuit of Nunavik (the current name for the arctic portion of Quebec, Canada). The silent film Nanook of the North (1922) was shot on Nunavik's west coast.

5, from the far side, enters the nearest inverted "U" and hooks down the segment of former 5f that lies between the legs of the inverted "U", thus dissolving the outer leg.

Extend until the remaining inner legs are well separated.

The final figure represents the smile of a man or boy who is missing his two front teeth. The central rectangle represents the gap left by the missing teeth.
