Suhurime's Pet Rabbit

A contemporary string figure created by Mark Sherman of Pasadena, California. It was made by altering the construction method of Suhurime, a traditional Solomon Islands string figure that represents a legendary warrior.

Step 7 - Release double 2 loop and extend.

2, from above, removes the 1 loop.

3 and 4 withdraw from the 345 loop, leaving a double loop on hooked 5.

1 and 3 arrange the pattern to reveal the rabbit's head (the round loop in the center), his long ears (the vertical loops that encircle the upper frame string) and his whiskers (the horizontal strings that emanate from the rabbit's cheeks).
