Bird's Nest

Collected by Stig Rydén from the Toba people of Sombrero Negro, Formosa Province, Argentina. Reconstructed by Ron Read. Despite the design's intricacy, this figure is easy to make and its method of construction is easy to remember.

Step 6 - With the help of the opposite hand release the triple loop on 3, then use 2 and 3 to enlarge and arrange the four diamonds that flank the central diamond.

Extend with fingers pointing upward to display the intricately woven "Bird's Nest".
