UFO

A contemporary string figure created in 1985 by Yukio Shishido of Kyoto, Japan. Its method of construction is easier than that of "Flying Saucer" (String Figure Magazine vol. 3, no. 4), which the author created in 1981. Furthermore, "UFO" can transform itself into a winged aircraft.

1 hooks down the lower string of the upper diamond, then 1 picks up the upper string of the lower diamond (the hooked-down string slips off as 1 returns to an upright position).
