Collected by Guy Mary-Rousselière from the Inuit (Eskimo) people of Pelly Bay, Nunavut, Canada, where ten different methods for making this figure are known.

 Step 2 - Exchange the loops on 2 as follows: L2, from above, removes the R2 loop; R2, from above, removes the lower L2 loop; extend.

Rather than string crossings between the hands, you now have string wraps.

With fingers of the R hand drag these wraps toward the R palm so that the L hand loops are longer than the R hand loops.
