Fish Mouth
Collected by David Nicolai from his Yup'ik Eskimo grandmother, who lives in a small village near Bethel in southwest Alaska. "Fish Mouth" is preceded by a design that represents the two eyes of a fish.

Step 5 - R1, from the near side and from below, removes the L1 loop; L1, from below, enters both R1 loops and returns, thus creating a shared double loop.
1 picks up 2n. Navajo the loops on 1 (slip lower double loop over upper single loop).Release 2 loop and extend; with 2 and 3 arrange the double-walled triangles to make them rounder, thus revealing two "Fish Eyes". |
