Step 2 - Close L5 to the palm to secure the L palmar string.
With the R hand grasp the L dorsal string just below L4 and wind it five times around L234. While still holding the L dorsal string, slide the R hand down toward the free end of the hanging loop, then wrap the held string once around L23 only; press L4 against L3 to secure the string trapped between them. Release the dorsal string from the R hand to reveal two hanging loops: a large (outer) loop and a small (inner) loop. If necessary, arrange the small loop so that the left string crosses the backs of L234 and the right string crosses the back of L4 only. |
