A Doca
Collected by Odina Sturzenegger from Los Tobas Indians of El Colchón, Chaco, Argentina. The design represents the unripe fruit of the milkweed vine (Morrenia odorata), which the Indians eat either raw or cooked. The green oval fruit is bisected on one side by a deep crevice, which is represented in the string figure by six parallel lines.
