1, 2, and 3-step Ladders
A contemporary string figure series created by Kyoko Ando of Utsunomiya, Japan. In Japan and elsewhere, diamond string figures often represent ladders. A good example is the 4-diamond figure known as "Jacob's Ladder" in America.

Step 10 - With R1 and R2 grasp both strings of the L5 loop near the base of L5; rotate L5 a full turn away from you to introduce a twist into the L5 loop, then release the strings held by R1 and R2.
Likewise, with R1 and R2 grasp both strings of the L3 loop near the base of L3; rotate L3 a full turn away from you to introduce a twist into the L3 loop, then release the strings held by R1 and R2. Extend to absorb the slack. |
