1, 2, and 3-step Ladders
A contemporary string figure series created by Kyoko Ando of Utsunomiya, Japan. In Japan and elsewhere, diamond string figures often represent ladders. A good example is the 4-diamond figure known as "Jacob's Ladder" in America.

Step 6 - With L1 and L2 grasp both strings of the R5 loop near the base of R5; rotate R5 a full turn away from you to undo the twist in the R5 loop, then release the strings held by L1 and L2.
Likewise, with L1 and L2 grasp both strings of the R3 loop near the base of R3; rotate R3 a full turn away from you to undo the twist in the R3 loop, then release the strings held by L1 and L2. Extend to absorb the slack. |
