Two UFOs

A contemporary string figure created in 1981 by Yukio Shishido of Kyoto, Japan. A new ending ("Light trail left by two speeding UFOs" followed by "Two UFOs disappear") was added by the creator in 2012.

Step 4 - 2 picks up oblique 1n (which runs to the center of 5f), then 2 passes over and in front of transverse 1n (which runs to opposite 1); 2, with the help of 3, hooks up transverse 1n, rotating away from you and up as it returns (oblique 1n slips off in the process).

Release 1 loops.

1, from below, removes 2 loop.

Extend, keeping 1 pressed against 2, and 4 pressed against 5, so that each palmar string remains short.
