Two More UFOs

A contemporary string figure created in 1981 by Yukio Shishido of Kyoto, Japan. It resembles a string figure we featured in May ("Two UFOs") but the football-shaped cages that represent flying saucers are separated rather than fused. One transformation (Step 7) and two alternative endings (Steps 8a and 8b) are offered.

Step 8a - (First ending): After completing Step 7, return hands to normal position (fingers pointing upward, palms facing each other).

2, from above, enters the central "slit" (the space between the knots that encircle the 5 loops), and hooks up the near slit string, rotating towards you and up as it returns.

Release 5 loop and extend sharply. The "Big Flying Saucer Disappears".
