Flint and Steel (variation with 3 diamonds)
A contemporary variation by Joseph D'Antoni of New York. It is based on a traditional two-diamond figure from the Caroline Islands called "Flint and Steel". Like the original, it requires a cross-arm extension.

Step 5 - Navajo the loops on 1 by bending 1 toward the center until the lower 1n string slips off.
3, from above, enters the palmar triangle and clutches the triangle's far string; opposite hand helps 5 release its loop, then 3 hooks up the clutched string, drawing it through the original 3 loop, which slips off as 3 rotates away and up; extend with palms facing away and 1 pointing down. |
