Laundry on a Clothesline
Collected by Thomas T. Paterson from the Inuit of Upernavik, Greenland. Danish settlers have been living among the Inuit of Greenland for over 200 years. As a result, it is not uncommon to find traditional Inuit string figures that have been renamed to represent items imported from Europe.

Step 1 - Place the loop on 1 so that 1n is short and 1f is long; with 345 grasp 1f and hold it against the palm.
2 hooks up 1n, rotating away from you and up. R1 picks up the L1n-L2f string segment, creating an upper R1 loop; L1, under the R1f-L2f string, picks up the R1n-R2f string segment (be sure that L1 retains its original loop); release the 345 loop and extend to absorb the slack. |
