Laundry on a Clothesline
Collected by Thomas T. Paterson from the Inuit of Upernavik, Greenland. Danish settlers have been living among the Inuit of Greenland for over 200 years. As a result, it is not uncommon to find traditional Inuit string figures that have been renamed to represent items imported from Europe.

Step 3 - L1 passes away from you under L5f, while R1 passes away from you under R5f and R5n.
R1, from below, enters the R2 loop, while L1, also from below, enters the loop that surrounds the L palmar string. 1 of each hand hooks down the string that crosses its palmar surface, then catches this string on its back by rotating toward you and up. |
