Eye of the Bay Duiker

Collected by Günter Tessmann from the Fang people of Cameroon. Duikers (pronounced "DIKE-ers") are small, shy, nocturnal antelopes found in the dense forests of west-central Africa.

Step 4 - 1, under intermediate strings, hooks down double 3f close to 3; 3, over intermediate strings, picks up on its tip double 2n close to 2; extend with fingers pointing up and palms turned slightly away.

You have an intermediate figure that represents the night sky (each diamond represents a star). Now that it is dark and safe to come out, duikers begin to roam the forest in search of food.
